“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like…”

“Feeling gratitude and not expressing it is like wrapping a present and not giving it.” -William Arthur Ward

These past few weeks I’ve worked more hours and focused harder on my business than I think I have ever done in the past 4 years in business. Not complaining. I’ve become obsessed again with building my business! The thought of where I started in January 2010 struggling to pay rent, not having a clue as to whether I was going to get a paycheck and make this business work. The fact that I am where I am today is unbelievable. It truly has been an amazing journey with ups and downs but never would I ask to do it a different way. When I started my business I had my vision of how many hours I wanted to work, what type of clients I would have and of course how much I going to make per month.

The fact the my vision of hours worked and money made has come to its fruition is great but to have the clients I envisioned 4 years ago, is simple special. You see my vision was to have clients that wanted to change their lifestyle as much as they wanted to change their physical bodies. I knew they had to be mentally ready for a challenge, again not just physically. I wanted my clients to be passionate about living a healthy lifestyle as well as the ability and willingness to change their beliefs.

This is what I dreamed about and after talking with my bootycampers tonight, I realized that this is exactly what I have! My dream has come true. To empower men & women to be better versions of themselves, to understand that while their goal when they first came to me was “lose weight”, “tone up” or “bulk up” another deeper part of why they came to me was to improve their lifestyle.

I love training people. Yes it’s fun telling people what to do all day, but that doesn’t give me the complete satisfaction I had originally sought out. I believe that the true satisfaction comes from knowing that even if only an hour, I helped that client become a better version of themselves. Whether that be me encouraging them to try a new exercise that they thought they wouldn’t be able to do to simply telling them that I was proud of them for eating breakfast. Satisfaction is knowing that I am in a position to help others, however they may need it.

In the last four years that I’ve been in business, I’ve always focused on what’s next… and while I will always continue to seek improvement in myself as well as within my clients, tonight I just wanted to take a moment to thank all of those who I’ve had the privilege of training with. Thank you for making my dreams come true. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your lives. And most importantly thank you for believing and supporting me in my own journey.

Now back to focusing on what’s next! Good night!
